1. What is the Yellow Light Of Death (YLOD)?

If the power light on the console goes from Green to yellow to red-flashing light your console is indicating 'General Hardware Failure'. In 90 % of the cases what happens is a special paste (thermal compound) that keeps your Processing Chips cool, drys up over time causing the the CPU dies to overheat and solder joints to loosen or crack causing the CPU and GPU dies to loose contact even causing a mainboard warp.We repair this by doing an actual 'reflow' on the processor chips to reball the solder joints to regain contact with the mainboard. Done under a reflow station. The heatsinks are treated with High Quality "Artic Silver 5". We do not make fake claims unlike other places that advertise Repair Services. We get a signifant amount of clients with return consoles that were already looked at by others. Mostly the BGA rework is not done properly. 2. My PS3 wont read Games or Blu-ray Movies but I can play games from hard drive?

Since PS3 is experimenting with Blu ray lasers, the diodes are still extremely delicate and sensitive to heat and small surges. Standard DVD's shoot at 605nm while Blu Ray Diodes shoot at 405nm which is very close. Your console will be fixed within an hour on the spot. It literally takes about 10 minutes and i will test it in front of you to make sure its working properly.

3. PS3 will not output any Video or Audio

The first thing you should do is check the Video Connection cables to your TV. (AV cable/HDMI). Make sure the video cable is connected properly. If everything is good and the console still doesnt output video, then try is the "Hard Reset" method. Press and hold the I/O button when you power it on, if you get video then youre safe as it could be a configuration issue. If the console fails to output video then you have a problem. No video can be caused from an unfinished fiwmmare update, to hard drive failure, to an overheated motherboard.
